PROBLEM
Black students in America are granted fewer resources and opportunities than their white classmates in early education. As the country tries to tackle racial inequality in professional settings, disparities among students should be front and center.

GOAL
When Edelman approached us, they wanted to create a visually striking piece that would gain national recognition for their client, the Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation, recently started by actress and celebrity Taraji P Henson. They came to us with a script, but no assumptions about how we would bring it to live visually.

APPROACH
‍‍
With a tight production budget and a relatively long script, we knew this one would be a challenge. By leveraging the relationships built in our open roster of directors, we brought on award winning director Abraham Felix to lead the project. Abraham was able to tap his contacts from a local youth theater group and the public school system in New Orleans to find solutions for casting and locations. His idea to shoot every scene as a single shot gave us both a great production efficiency and a beautiful final product.
